The cost of sterilisation of stray dogs is reimbursed by the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Animal Welfare Division, but the cost of treating and caring for the dogs at the Pound is met partly from membership fees and largely, private donations. The Blue Cross Hospital & Shelter, when fully operational, is expected to earn only part of the revenue required to sustain itself. It will be heavily dependent on donations in cash and kind. Any help, in cash or kind, is always welcome. Depending on the time and funds at your disposal, we appeal to you to contribute towards making our city a better place for our animal co-habitants.
