HOW TO ADOPT
“Slurp, lick, burp, fart, sometimes funny, sometimes smart!
Cuddly cuddly, fuzzy wuzzy, take me home and make me cosy”
Adopting an animal is a wonderful way of caring for animals. One of our important goals is to re-home dogs, cats, cattle, donkeys and horses which have been abandoned or rescued.
If you decide to adopt an animal, the procedure is simple:
- Get well acquainted with it before taking it home. Visit us at the Blue Cross Animal Hospital & Shelter in Keshavnagar, Mundhwa or at the Dog Pound at Naidu Hospital.
- Once the match has been made between you and the dog, we would like you to make a few visits so that you and the dog get to know each other. Before they can be adopted, pups are vaccinated and older dogs are neutered and vaccinated.
- Fill up a questionnaire complete the formalities for adoption (see link).
- We will make a follow up visit one week after you take the dog home and twice more during the next three months. Of course, you are welcome to contact us at any time, if required.
- We offer a 20% discount on medical treatment for re-homed animals for one year after re-homing.
